ISBT, New Delhi
Early morning today, Istling and I, both packed our bags and left to the New Delhi Interstate Bus Terminal. In the past I have travelled to Chandigarh (Punjab) a few times to visit my cousin sister. So I was quite familiar with the bus route. And Sirhind was just a couple of hours ahead of Chandigarh. So after reaching the bus terminal, we thought it would be great if we could first go to Chandigarh so I could meet my cousin, niece and nephew, and then proceed to Sirhind the next day. Before leaving Delhi, I made a call to my sister to inform her about my last-minute plans. As expected she sounded quite excited hearing about my plans to visit her. Also, my nephew (Prateek Bhushan) offered to drive us to Sirhind in his car. And since he is proficient in Punjabi (the local dialect of Punjab), it all seemed like the perfect plan. So we booked our tickets and in the next five to six hours we were at my cousin sister‘s place.
